Associate of Arts or an Associate of Science Degree
Laredo College (LC) awards a general Associate of Arts (AA) or Associate of Science (AS) degree which requires the completion of 42sch of the Texas Core Curriculum (TCC) as well as 18sch of electives. A major refers to the academic discipline or subject you pursue as an undergraduate student. The major is critical because it helps you and your advisor determine the coursework, aside from the TCC, that you must complete to earn a specific degree at LC and beyond. Selection of a major will also determine which office you should seek advising from. If you do not see your major listed below, consult your advisor. If you have not decided on a major, select General Studies. If you are a non-degree seeking student, select Self-Enrichment. Effective Fall 2019, only academic courses are applicable to the elective requirement of an Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree.
