OTHA 1391 Special Topics in OTA

Topics address recently identified current events, skills, knowledges, and/or attitudes and behaviors pertinent to the technology or occupation and relevant to the professional development of the student. This course was designed to be repeated multiple times to improve student proficiency.

OTHA 1349, OTHA 1319, OTHA 2301, OTHA 1162, and acceptance to the Occupational Therapy Assistant Program.

Corequisite

OTHA 1353 and OTHA 1163.

End-of-Course Outcomes

Identify components of health and wellness and function in this population; develop adaptations for age appropriate occupations; identify the client factors that affect occupational performance; demonstrate skills in the evaluation process; and select intervention strategies to facilitate occupational performance and participation for this population.
