Academic: Leading to Associate of Arts or an Associate of Science Degree

The primary purpose of the Associate of Arts and the Associate of Science degree programs is to provide courses for the first two years of the baccalaureate degree. Before planning a course of study, the student should confer with the appropriate advisor to insure that the individual course requirements of the senior college or university are met. Most senior institutions will transfer up to 60 semester hours excluding developmental and preparatory courses. Senate Bill 148 will enable LC students who complete all of their core curricula at LC to transfer the credits as a block to any state community college or university and to satisfy their core curriculum requirements. All the areas listed below are intended for transfer and identified with an *A.
