MATH 1324 (3-3-0)
The application of common algebraic functions, including polynomial, exponential, logarithmic, and rational, to problems in business, economics, and the social sciences are addressed. The applications include mathematics of finance, including simple and compound interest and annuities; systems of linear equations; matrices; linear programming; and probability, including expected value.
This is an accelerated and corequisite course that meets MTWR. The developmental content is taught twice a week and the college-level content is taught the remaining two days. Students are concurrently enrolled for both classes and are provided just-in-time remediation for the college-level material. Corequisite classes are designated with sections such as MP, SP, and EP.
