MATH 0342 (3-3-0)

The course supports students in developing skills, strategies, and reasoning needed to succeed in mathematics, including communication and appropriate use of technology.

Topics include the study of numeracy and the real number system; algebraic concepts, notation, and reasoning; quantitative relationships; mathematical models; and problem solving.

MATH 1342 (3-3-0)

Collection, analysis, presentation and interpretation of data, and probability. Analysis includes descriptive statistics, correlation and regression, confidence intervals and hypothesis testing. Use of appropriate technology is recommended.

This is an accelerated and corequisite course that meets MTWR.  The developmental content is taught twice a week and the college-level content is taught the remaining two days.  Students are concurrently enrolled for both classes and are provided just-in-time remediation for the college-level material.  Corequisite classes are designated with sections such as MP, SP, and EP.
