Logistics and Distribution Management (IBUS)
The Logistics/Distribution Management Program is designed to train capable entry-level personnel in logistics/distribution operations. Logistics is the management of the flow or resources, between the point of origin and the point of destination. Distribution is the movement of goods and services from the source through a distribution channel, to the final customer, consumer, or user. The program is designed to give the students a basic knowledge of foreign trade definitions, payment terms and financing, commercial terms in foreign languages, understanding drafts and letters of credit, government foreign trade controls, export shipping documents, export invoices and packing lists, export traffic procedures, insurance, calculating prices, and customs procedures, and documentation activities related to the total operation in logistics/distribution management, included in these classes is a practicum in which students employed in a job are eligible to enroll. The student will be awarded an Associate in Applied Science degree upon completion of the course requirements.
